so i got the part as the whore of babylon in the mainstage!! (i have loved strangers by anne washburn, directed by paul lazar). i'm terrified of scheduling. i am going to make it work. melancholy play is first and is going to get the majority of my energy and attention, but at the same time, i have to be PRESENT for these other rehearsals. i have a tiny part, but a lot of the beginning process is going to be ensemble building and whatnot, so i have to be there. totally understood. the stage manager is.......casey crowley...... soooo yeah. but. i am not going to freak out. i am doing two shows i am incredibly passionate about with two amazing directors. (i've heard paul lazar is amazing to work with, at least).
i just have to make sure i can focus on all 5 characters i'm doing in studio while doing academics at the same time. n'harms just won't be a part of my semester, really. tomorrow we have a competition in hartford. i was "on vocal rest" today. aka, i didn't talk for like an hour and then HAD to because i had rehearsal. and i feel completely useless and irrelevant if i don't speak. so tomorra, until i sang my goddamn song, i ain't speakin. teateatea.
it's weird because i thought my audition was really wonky. but i think it was more the setup/situation of the audition. only i notice stupid little things like the fact that the song i made up changed tune while i was singing it. obviously only i knew that because i wrote it. so yeah. and i think i was pretty much the only one that did something physical and didn't just sing. so who knows. this song lasts about 1 minute. who knows if i'll be on stage other than that 1 min, but it's cool with me! woooo.
it goes up april 29-may 3 in the abe burrows theater.

i bought a macbook!!! i;m on it right now. only thing is, i don't know how to upload my itunes (and other files) from my PC onto here. can i do it without going through my external harddrive? anyone know these things?
i basically got this because i'm a sucker for the more popular device. because apparently macs are more trustworthy. and mostly because of garageband, which will finally allow me to get this music out of my head and my lame dated recording devices.
oh this might be of help: if i have my itunes on my PC on, i have complete access to that itunes library (shared music), but it wont let me drag and drop or copy and paste or whatever the kids are calling it into my mac's itunes library. i'm so oblivious of technology.

rebeca and i went to the aquarium today! in brooklyn. we've been meaning to do it for sooo long. it was so fun, and she knows a lot about random fish because she worked at an aquarium in seattle.
and then i sprained my ankle. hah. its all swollen like anna's was during colorguard that time...i think i just need to ice it and get an ace bandage tomorrow. i've never sprained anything before.
